They apply solutions to a defined range of predictable and unpredictable problems and analyse and evaluate information from a variety of sources.

Total tuition cost for BSB42015 - Certificate IV in Leadership and Management course is AUD $6,000 for international students.

CLASSROOM / FACE TO FACE MODE - FULL TIME

The course is provided through teacher led classroom mode delivery. It will be delivered (560 hours) and assessed (40 hours) over a total of 600 hours which will include theory (20 contact hours per week), self-paced structured e-learning as per the session plan, simulation training and assessment.

Besides the above structured learning, students are advised that they will be required to do approximate 10 hours per week of unstructured learning.

Students will have 20 contact hours of which 16 hours will be delivered as face to face classroom sessions & 4 hours will be supervised structured learning. Student will need to ensure they complete the tasks assigned to them in the structured e-learning as per session plan.

The time frame to complete the qualification is a maximum of 6 months; however actual time frame can vary between students based on their individual skills, experiences and previous studies. IHNA considered nominal hour guidelines (Victorian Purchasing Guide and Western Australian Nominal Hours Guide) when confirming the course duration. This duration was chosen to enable students to achieve the learning outcomes for both the qualification type and discipline.

IHNA has in place admission criteria for courses in its scope as required by its 'International Students Admission Policy and Procedure' to ensure that candidates meet industry requirements.

Offshore International students who wish to apply for this course must meet the following requirements

  • Applicants are required to be 18 years old and above.
  • International English Language Testing System (IELTS) examination (Academic) with a minimum total band score of 5.5 and minimum score of 5.0 in each of the four components of listening, reading, writing and speaking or meets equivalent English language proficiency requirements;
  • In addition, all the applicants are required to have successfully completed an LLN test and demonstrate competence as working at Level 3 for all indicators to enroll for this qualification (issued within the last 12 months from the time of admission).

Assessment strategies are implemented for collecting evidence and making judgements about whether competency has been achieved by the learner.

The assessments confirm whether an individual can perform to the standards expected in the workplace, as expressed in the relevant endorsed unit of competency.

Assessment tools used include :

  • Knowledge Based Assessments (KBA)
  • Theory Assessment (TA)
  • Simulation Based Assessments (SBA)

RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING (RPL)

IHNA has a methodical RPL process, which is outlined in detail in the Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) Policy.

Prospective students will be notified of the RPL policy and process prior to enrolment into the program, via orientation, discussions, Student Handbook and/or through our website. They are encouraged to apply if they believe that they may be eligible.

Students are encouraged to apply for RPL prior to or immediately after formal enrolment but prior to the facilitated delivery of units to ensure that they do not miss any class/simulated lab practice opportunities offered should they be unsuccessful in the RPL process. Students are given an RPL kit showing the units they need to complete and methods for demonstrating competency in those units.

CREDIT TRANSFER

Applicants for Credit Transfer must complete the credit transfer application form, attach a copy of a verified Award or Statement of Attainment and submit the application to the Course Coordinator.

The Course Coordinator must check the Award or Statement of Attainment and grant Credit Transfer for identical units that have been identified as being completed at another Registered Training Organisation.

Verified copies of Qualifications and Statements of Attainment used as the basis for granting Credit Transfer must be placed in the student files.

The student and the Course Coordinator must sign the completed Credit Transfer record. Granting of Credit Transfer must be recorded as a unit outcome in the students file.

Student's individual training plans will be adjusted to reflect any Credit Transfer granted.

PATHWAY FROM THIS QUALIFICATION

Graduates may progress to higher level qualifications within and/or across the Management sector.
